El Bajonito
También conocido como: Lost Mountain
The rock rises from a sandy plain, with a shallow side facing the coast and a steep wall on the ocean side. Schools of barracuda, roncadores, bogues and amberjack circle the peak, and tuna and bonito pass in the blue. Cracks in the wall hide moray eels, octopus, lobsters, anemones and nudibranchs. Stingrays, eagle rays, bull rays and seasonal angel sharks are seen on the sand at the base. Divers can stay on the plateau or follow the wall deeper, so the site serves both recreational and technical training dives.
