Abades
También conocido como: Abades Bay · Abades Playa
The dive starts over shallow sand and crosses to a first volcanic reef, then continues to a second, more open reef that local centres call the wild side of the bay. Between the reefs lies one of the important seagrass meadows of Tenerife, where green turtles feed and juvenile fish shelter. Stingrays, cuttlefish, barracuda, garden eels and, in winter, angel sharks are regular sightings, and patient divers sometimes find seahorses. Several old encrusted anchors lie on the outer edge of the second reef. The calm water and gentle slope make it a standard site for training and relaxed dives.
