Tanzania
The Zanzibar Archipelago is a group of islands off mainland Tanzania, including Unguja (the main island commonly called Zanzibar) and numerous smaller islets used for diving and marine tourism.
The Zanzibar Archipelago lies in the Indian Ocean off Tanzania's coast, with Unguja as its largest island and Pemba as the second largest. Around Unguja, smaller islets relevant to diving and marine tourism include Mnemba and Chumbe, the latter widely known for coral reef conservation. The archipelago forms part of the semi-autonomous Zanzibar region, distinct from the Mafia Archipelago further south.
