Koh Rong Sanloem lies 4 km south of larger Koh Rong; both fall within Koh Rong Marine National Park, established 2018. The coastline mixes sandstone formations and beaches. Dive operators report shallow, calm waters with visibility typically 5-20 m, reached in about 40 minutes by speedboat from Sihanoukville, with named sites such as Secret Garden and Cobia Point; bamboo sharks, coral catsharks and seahorses are reported.
