Isla de la Juventud is Cuba's second-largest island, the largest in the Canarreos Archipelago, with its diving concentrated around the Punta Frances Marine National Park.
Isla de la Juventud lies in the Gulf of Batabano about 47 km south of mainland Cuba. Its principal dive area, Punta Frances, is on the southwestern coastline, offering coral walls, drop-offs and swim-throughs. Notable named sites include a black coral wall and the wrecks Jibacoa and Sparta, which have developed into artificial reefs.
