Spain's largest national park, covering the entire 11-island Cabrera archipelago south of Mallorca, with strictly licensed, day-only diving in one of the best-preserved coastal environments in the Mediterranean.
Established in 1991, the park covers the whole Cabrera archipelago about 10 nautical miles south of Mallorca, at 908 km2 (895 km2 sea) Spain's largest national park. Decades of use by the Spanish Armed Forces (1973-1986) left the marine environment unusually intact, now holding Natura 2000 and SPAMI status, with more than 500 recorded species.
