Travel to Algeria travel

Algeria has an incredible variety of scenery with the Sahara desert in the south, attractive beaches along the Mediterranean Sea to the north, mountains that offer superb hiking during the summer and skiing chances in the snow in winter. Algeria also has a very rich history with 7 World Heritage sites and is one of the most socially developed countries in the whole of Africa. Algeria’s other huge attraction is its amazing Saharan region. Whether it’s a sight of the sand seas that enclose Timimoun, or the burnt-red Mountains of the far south, these are the desert landscapes of legend.

Diving in Algeria

An Algeria scuba diving holiday is a great way to discover another side of this remote destination. It has several remarkable dive sites and a great variety of aquatic life to see in its warm waters. Dive into red coral reefs, and spot grouper, wrasse, octopus, cuttlefish and more. The sea life and fauna is similar to elsewhere in the Mediterranean. The Taza Marine Park has several excellent dive spots. It is a protected area of crystal clear waters and some remarkable wildlife, including sea turtles and dolphins. Another excellent place to dive is Tabarka, just over the border with Tunisia. It has some appealing rock tunnels which will challenge experienced cave divers, and is renowned for its big schools of grouper.
