Clark Rock
Clark Rock rises from the sand as a pile of boulders, ledges and cracks, reached by following a mooring line to a concrete block. Its sheltered position makes it a reliable choice when weather keeps boats away from the wrecks, and it is often the second dive after them. Local guides regularly count several wolf eels on a single dive, and giant Pacific octopus hide in the boulders. Quillback, copper and tiger rockfish, lingcod, kelp greenling, perch and fields of red urchins complete the picture. In autumn and winter sea lions sometimes swoop past divers.
