Near Garden
Near Garden is only a few minutes by boat from the Naama Bay jetty. The reef wall drops to about 8 to 10 m and then slopes to a drop-off around 18 to 25 m, with a row of pinnacles, gorgonian fans and glassfish along the way. A large red anemone and a glassfish pinnacle rich in shrimps, nudibranchs and pipefish are favourite photo stops. Heavy use and nearby hotel building have damaged some shallow parts, which old guide maps already marked as a 'dead area'. Spotted eagle rays, whitetip reef sharks and summer mantas keep the site interesting.
