The tanker was torpedoed by U-158 in March 1942 and the wreck was later flattened, so it offers little relief and a wide field of tangled steel. Boilers, engine remains, a steering quadrant and two bow anchors are the main landmarks. Because reference points are scarce, Discovery Diving recommends a wreck reel for navigation. The site is popular with spearfishers for flounder and other game fish, and grouper are seen among the wreckage. Olympus visits it on its half-day shallow trips.
