Dangerous Reef
Conosciuto anche come: Sha'ab Dangerous
The name comes from sharks that were often found resting in caves on the south side rather than from difficult conditions. The reef is about 410 m long, with a fairly shallow, flat bottom that makes it a safe overnight mooring, while its outer walls drop steeply. Breaks in the shallow reef allow easy swim-throughs. Soft corals, gorgonians, sponges and anemones cover the reef, and schools of surgeonfish, fusiliers, jacks and barracuda pass by. At night squid, Spanish dancers and hunting morays come out.
