Far Garden

Far Garden differs from the other Gardens because a row of large coral pinnacles stands between the reef ledge and a drop-off that gets steeper towards the east. A cave full of glassfish opens near the shallows, and around 30 m lies the top of an overhang called the Cathedral that cuts about a dozen metres into the reef. The current usually runs east and grows stronger near the headland, which makes the corner a good drift dive. Gorgonian fans, lionfish and anthias cover the pinnacles, and in the warmer months mantas, whale sharks and turtles pass by.
