Runway

The site takes its name from the airport: divers who surface here may see a jet passing low overhead. The bottom is covered with big hard coral bommies and small seamounts. Currents are common, and they make the site a good bet for eagle ray encounters in season. Adventure Cook Islands notes that the Labyrinth tunnel system stretches from here towards Black Rock.
