Bida Nai, the 'Inner Father', lies just north of Bida Nok and offers a mix of sloping hard coral reef, huge boulders and vertical walls. Dives often start at a boulder formation where a curtain of glassfish hides a swim-through, with harlequin ghost pipefish, seahorses and boxer shrimps around its edges. A coral outcrop called Fantasy Reef draws schools of trevally hunting baitfish, and the sandy eastern side with staghorn coral is a good place to find resting leopard sharks. Beyond the reef a pinnacle with its top at about 18 m attracts schools of barracuda, trevally and fusiliers. The north side has cliffs dropping to around 28 to 30 m with sea fans and large barrel sponges.
