This American P-38 fighter lies just off the airstrip at Seghe, between New Georgia and Vangunu, in about 8 m of water. The aircraft is intact, so its twin booms and single-seat cockpit are easy to make out. The reef around it holds soft corals, elephant ear sponges and nudibranchs and suits a bit of muck diving. It is usually combined with the nearby Dauntless dive-bomber as the shallow final dive of Uepi's Bapita day trip, and liveaboards also visit it.
