Mérouville

There is no shoreline reference at Mérouville: Archipel Plongée sets a line in open water and divers follow it down into the blue. Heading north, the bottom drops into the twenties, where colonies of Mediterranean red coral grow. Back to the south, the main rock rises to about 15 m and shelters dozens of dusky groupers together with brown meagre, barracuda and large sea bass. SSI's dive guide describes many rocks and reef patches in the 16 to 30 m band and adds moray eels, octopus and dentex. Archipel Plongée also reports an occasional sunfish.
