Manta Lodge & Scuba Centre is on North Stradbroke Island, Australia, with English-language teaching. It is Brisbane’s premier dive facility for live-in scuba diving training, right on the beach at Point Lookout, and it focuses on dive trips and courses in the Moreton Bay Marine Park. The centre runs small classes, with a maximum of four students on some programmes, and has its own training team and full-time SSI Instructor Trainer onsite. Open water training includes two confined-water sessions in a pool and four boat dives in real conditions, while technical diving covers open circuit, rebreathers, wrecks and scooters. Beachfront accommodation is available for divers and backpackers, and the club includes discounted double dives, free nitrox for members and priority booking for dive trips.
