Cocoa Corner

Dive centres describe a steep wall leading into the channel with many caves and overhangs between about 5 and 20 metres, while the outer reef slopes more gently. About 200 metres inside the channel a reef outcrop lies at roughly 30 metres. On the corner divers meet grey and whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles and Napoleon wrasse, and schools of sweetlips, snappers and fusiliers gather along the wall. Submaldives recommends it as a drift along the atoll edge in incoming current, and Adaaran describes a channel crossing from Cocoa Corner to Kandooma Thila in incoming current.
