Grotte à Perez

The Grotte à Perez opens right below the landing stage at the eastern tip of Plane island, so it is hard to miss. A small entrance lies at about 3 m, but the main one is between 22 and 28 m, and divers rise inside the cave and must descend again to leave, which needs ears that equalise easily. Red coral and fixed life cover the walls, and the wall outside continues to about 37 m and beyond. The area is sheltered from wind and current, and groupers, barracuda, moray eels, scorpionfish, nudibranchs and conger eels are seen around Plane.
