Aldebaran Wreck

The Aldebaran was seized by the Seychelles Coast Guard for illegal fishing and sunk on 11 July 2008 as an artificial reef for that year's SUBIOS Festival of the Sea. Big Blue Divers chose the spot on a sandy bottom with rocks in a current that brings nutrients. The upright hull now attracts moray eels, lionfish, batfish and sweetlips, and divers report guitar sharks and giant groupers. Because of the depth, bottom time is short and Atoll Divers limits dives to about 30 minutes.
