The east face is fairly bare in the first metres, then rich scree with gorgonians, sponges and encrusting anemones leads to the sand. Groupers are the main attraction, often a dozen or more between 15 and 25 m, together with moray and conger eels, dentex, sea bass, mullet, sunfish and rays. Saint P'Hyères Plongée reports a school of about 200 barracudas around 10 to 20 m since 2001, and a huge boulder called the Dolmen that divers can pass under. Anchoring is forbidden on the east face, so the dive is done as a drift from the Calanque aux Loups or from a mooring in the Calanque Sombre. Current can be strong.
