Hilma Hooker
The Hilma Hooker went down on 12 September 1984 and lies on her side on the sand just off the reef. Her highest point is at about 18 m and the mast reaches about 30 m, so bottom time is short. Three moorings mark the wreck. Tarpon, barracuda and horse-eye jacks gather around the hull and spiny lobsters shelter under the masts. Entering the wreck is only allowed with a trained local guide, and the shallow reef is a good place for the safety stop.
