Chile is unlike any other country. Because of its natural beauty, high literacy rate, and quite stable political condition, it can be best described as the Switzerland of the south. Chile is a heaven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Within the country, one can get a diverse range of landscapes including vineyards, volcanoes, deserts, beaches, lakes, glaciers and forests. Nature, traditions, food and people just are few of the reasons to visit Chile. Whether you desire to go trekking, wine tasting, rafting, or enjoy cultural activities, there’s a little something for everyone, ranging from the Atacam desert down to Patagonia.
Chile’s most well-liked diving is on Easter Island, 3500km off the coastline of Chile. Several of the dive sites have walls, caverns, arches, and other thrilling structures. Easter Island’s most famous dive site is The Trail of the Moai. Some of the most excellent diving is found around The Motus, three tiny rock islands off the southwest coast. Around Antofagasta there are lots of dive sites including Roca Chungungo, a popular dive with a sheer wall and often sea lions and otters. Around the La Serena/Las Tacas region, nice dive sites include The Cathedrals with steep walls and tunnels covered in sponges with groupers, and giant jellyfish.
