Bahrain is Arabic for "two seas", referring to the freshwater springs that can be found within the salty sea surrounding it. Bahrain has a highly liberal culture that offers residents and tourists complete freedom. Bahrain – an archipelago of 33 islands in the Arabian Gulf is the hottest spot for a holiday. Other than reef diving, Bahrain offers a range of wreck dives, including ships, planes, tugs and barges. Indo Pacific species including clownfish, triggerfish, surgeonfish, turtles, rays, lionfish, grouper, snapper, crayfish and even whalesharks. Fifi wreck is especially popular for night dives. Caisson wreck is situated 20 miles off the coast of Bahrain. This concrete and steel structure is home to a many fishes. Fasht najwah is situated at 50 nautical miles north of Bahrain. Najwah is a superb dive spot for advanced divers and photographers. During peak season, Najwah is an excellent location to spot whale sharks.
