Travel to Albania

Albania is one of the most fascinating countries in Europe. It is also the place to visit if you want to live a real adventure. The country will astonish you with its stunning beaches, unspoiled valleys, delectable food with Greek influence, and hospitable people. But there’s ample for adventurous travelers to discover across the country, including picturesque mirror-like lakes, high mountains and rambling forests that are free of crowds, and there are numerous exciting historic sites too, from hilltop castles to underground bunkers.

Diving in Albania

If you are an adventure diver who loves exploration, Albania is the ideal place to go and discover the unexpected! The country has numerous rivers which originate in the high mountains and go through steep gorges before reaching the plain and making their way to the sea. Most of the main rivers have been extensively managed, generally to produce hydro-electricity. Albania has almost 450 km (280 miles) of coast, with the Adriatic running from the Montenegrin border south to the Bay of Vlora, where the Ionian Sea begins. The Ionian shore is very rough with rocky coves along the narrow coastal strip. Good diving locations are Vlora Bay, Sazani Island and the Karaburuni Peninsula reliant upon the sea conditions.
