Diving in Senegal

Waters off the shores of Dakar, proffer some of the most pleasant diving experiences to the enthusiasts across the globe. Dakar’s ragged land, diverse fish life coupled with a large number of shipwrecks make the experience very enjoyable. Dakar offers a whole range of diving experiences for both experienced and beginner divers, including shore dives, shoal dives and wreck dives. Senegal’s waters are a breeding ground of distinctive aquatic activity which is spiced by the existence of dolphins, sharks and stingrays, particularly close to Cape Vert peninsula. The island of Goree is a main center of diving activities around Dakar. The island alone has over 30 dive sites off its shore.
