Sudan, also well-known as North Sudan, is a country situated in Northern Africa and is third largest in Africa at present. With The White Nile and The River Nile flowing through the country, Sudan has been one of the places that have been totally unnoticed yet deserves interest for not only its natural splendor, but in addition to its history. From being the Kingdom of Nubia, Sudan proclaimed their independence from the British on 1956. Given its location within Africa, it comes as no surprise how stunning the country is – so there are enough reasons to help encourage you to put Sudan on your bucket list.
Colorful, unspoiled reefs, uncrowded dive sites, memorable wrecks, healthy shark populations, and big schools of fish can be seen in this area. Sudan generally attracts more experienced divers and those who might have dived the Red Sea before. For divers, Sudan is vastly a liveaboard destination. The diving is some of the best in the Red sea. There are wrecks, for example the Umbria just outside of Port Sudan, The Blue Bell at Sha'ab Suedi. You can expect to see lovely coral gardens and schools of fish, a range of sharks (including hammerhead sharks), dolphins, humpback whales, green turtles etc.
