Diving in Latvia
Latvia is part of the Baltic States in Northern Europe. The Baltic Sea is a typical inland sea with about 250 inflowing rivers. Hence, it has the least salty water in the earth. Lake diving is very well-liked in Latvia at the Sloka Lakes and Dridzis Lake which is Latvias deepest and both of these are used for diver certifications. The Elbing wreck was built in Danzig (Germany) in 1898 with a length of 40 metres, it struck a mine in 1941. The ship lies at about 1 km from the coast at a depth of 10 metres and on an even keel.
