Finland has so much to present further than the usual tourist spots. One of the major attractions to Finland is its thousands of lakes offering fishing and boating. Another involves the custom of staying in rustic, lakeside cottages far out in the country. This creates the ultimate holiday destination for remoteness, recreation, in addition to trouble-free access to ski resorts. The surrounding Baltic Sea and archipelagos offer the similar experience. Finland’s architecture varies from old, wooden structures that have stood since the Swedish age to contemporary designs. Throughout the country, visitors can also spot art from periods including art-nouveau, Nordic classicism, gothic revival, and minimalism.
The diving in Finland is mostly wreck diving. Because of the low salinity in the Baltic, the wrecks are in outstanding state, even the older wooden ones. A popular wreck to dive is the 51 meter long S/S Hildenburg, situated in Åland. The Plus has been ranked as one of the top ten Scandinavian wrecks to dive by Swedish magazines. The Plus is a good dive for fun divers, with a ranging depth of 17-32 meters. The Notung sits in 40-50 meters of water and is a highly rated dive for experienced technical divers.
